Childline Botswana is a non-profit making and non –governmental organization founded in 1990 by Doreen Khama and Fay Smith. Its mission is primarily to help abused children through intervention methods like counselling, education, case work and alternative care programmes.

Childline offers a wide range of assistance and services not only to the disadvantaged children but also adults who have been abused as children and fear that they might abuse their own children. They further provide facilities in which temporary emergency situations can be handled by offering a place of safety.

Childline Botswana survives through irregular donations which makes them appreciate every thebe they receive. Lady Khama Charitable Trust prides itself in being able to assist Childline since 2002.
